The Mother is a well-crafted domestic thriller which zips along at such a pace that it makes the story almost addictive reading – you may struggle to put this one down! When I’m not writing, I spend my spare time watching box sets on Netflix, playing tennis badly and supporting the Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team.

About — T.M.Logan About — T.M.Logan

Heather has no idea that this evening with be her last as a family as by tomorrow Liam will be dead, she will be accused of his murder and ultimately sent to prison to serve ten years of her sentence. What I loved about this book was it got going right from the start, it began and ended in a way I didn’t expect, there were plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing from start to finish, I thought the characters were great and I loved the plot. The Mother has just shot up to being my favourite book by Logan which is an impressive feat as I have pretty much loved all of his other books.

However, the person who should be in the coffin is watching from the wings we then get to discover more about the life of Heather.

Zaffre - Bonnier Books

I haven’t read any TM Logan books before despite meeting Tim at Harrogate and arranging all his blogtours for him through his publisher. This is a highly topical thriller with references to Parliament, and twisty turns that I absolutely did not see coming. I appreciate how the author puts what appear to be ‘normal families’ into ‘extraordinary’ situations that make you think, ‘what would I do if I found myself in the same situation? Heather is an investable character, I just couldn’t help but root for her after reading the ins and outs of her wrongful conviction and subsequent 9 year stint in prison for the murder of her husband Liam.

When Joe sees his wife having a confrontation with family friend Ben, it's the first hint that she's been lying to him - about everything. When Connor misses his curfew, it sets off a series of events that will change the lives of five families forever.

Brilliant blindsides, novel approach to a much covered plot and excellent narration of the audiobook, had me finish it in one sitting. As she wakes up with not much recollection as to why she feels so groggy, her world as she knew it would never be the same.

I found that they either flattered to deceive, or else they simply didn't live up to the amount of hype surrounding them. M. Logan book, I know I’m in for a treat his books are fast-paced, gripping, and tense, and after reading The Mother I’m thrilled to report this is his best thriller yet, and yes I have read them all! A true single-sitting read, The Mother is the best yet from the master of the heartbreaking, heart-pounding, head-spinning thriller. Really not possible as you get caught up in the story as it carefully unfolds- down another blind alley.
