In the final episode of the first season of Cars on the Road, Gettin' Hitched, Cruz is revealed to be attending the wedding, happily reuniting with McQueen and Mater. The groom is revealed to be Mateo, one of her cousins. When Mater says the bride is his sister, she's ecstatic at the prospect of having a family connection to Mater due to the marriage. Throughout the course of the episode, she reveals that she's done a lot of things during the off season, including, opened a racing school, formed a non-profit organization that provides snow tires to the “lightly treaded,” and is learning French. She also confirms that she is a licensed wedding officiant after Justice Stern left and pronounces Mato and Mateo as married. During the initial research for the first film, John Lasseter met with General Motors designers to discuss the new Chevrolet Corvette design. [1] However, Lightning McQueen's appearance is not attributed to any single car model: Owen Wilson (films, Cars: The Video Game, Mater and the Ghostlight, Cars Toons: Tales from Radiator Springs, and Cars on the Road) After completing training with Smokey, Lightning runs the first half of the Florida 500 with Smokey as his crew chief before pulling out and giving Cruz her chance to become a racer with him as her crew chief. Cruz and Lightning share the victory due to Lightning starting the race, and the pair receive a sponsorship under the merged Dinoco–Rust-eze brand. Lightning decides to continue racing but spends the rest of the season as Cruz's mentor and crew chief.
STYLE: Lightning McQueen is a well known, much loved children's characters who has appeared in animated series and movie sequels around the world. Every little boys dream is to be just like Lightning. Lightning, Cruz, Smokey, River, Junior, and Louise all watch footage from one of Doc's old races. They see that he uses a technique called drafting, in which he uses the barricade to flip over a rookie, who tries slamming him into the wall, to win the race. Lightning and Cruz do one last race before going to Florida, with Lightning able to go faster this time. However, he still loses to Cruz, and the two head off to Florida. In Miss Fritter's Racing Skoool, Cruz is celebrating the achievement of her Florida 500 trophy with McQueen, when they both see a commercial starring Miss Fritter. However, the loud volu The late Paul Newman can be heard in the film reprising his role as The Fabulous Hudson Hornet aka Doc Hudson. When Newman recorded for the original “Cars,” he and director John Lasseter often exchanged thoughts on racing between takes. The conversations were fortunately captured, proving invaluable to filmmakers who wanted to reignite Lightning McQueen’s love of the sport and the mentor who helped him discover it in the first place.Lightning McQueen's design is loosely inspired by NASCAR Generation 4 cars; however, he has a curvaceous body like that of the Plymouth Superbird and Dodge Charger Daytona. His exhaust pipes come from the 1970s Dodge Charger, but with four (two on each side) instead of two on one side or one on both sides.
