Wars of Faith (Early M38) - During a century in which the power of the Ministorum reaches a peak not seen since the reformation of Saint Sebastian, a thousand Wars of Faith are launched across the length and breadth of the Imperium, and billions of heretics are put to the pyre.

Join us again tomorrow for an article that sheds more light on this brutal conflict, and keep an eye out later in the year as the skirmishes in War Zone Nachmund become the focus of an exciting new Kill Team expansion.Countless millions soon burned in the fires of Vandire's Reign of Blood. It was during this dark, forbidding time that a reformist sect known as the Confederation of Light emerged and denounced Vandire as a Traitor. Led by the preacher Sebastian Thor, the Confederation of Light spread its message of a church dedicated not to politics and the secular rule of the Imperium but to the compassion and mercy of the Emperor to a brutalised people only too ready to throw off the yoke of oppression. Once per turn, when this WARLORD performs an Act of Faith, 1 Miracle dice used in that Act of Faith is considered to be a 6 (irrespective of its actual value). Sacred Grounds is a “Shadow Operations” secondary that allows your units to pefrom a “Concecration” action on an objective, scoring either 1 or 4 points per concecrated objectives at the end of the game depending on whether that objective is in your deployment zone or not.

The Adeptus Administratum in particular found its own powers greatly curtailed, for the Ministorum's tithes took precedence over its own raising of funds and resources, leaving little in the coffers to pay for the running of the secular components of the Imperium. The Sisterhood serves as the Ministorum's only official military force because the Decree Passive laid down by the reformist Ecclesiarch Sebastian Thor held that in the wake of the Age of Apostasy's Reign of Blood in the 36th Millennium, the Ecclesiarchy cannot maintain any "men under arms." A Leap of Faith is a “No Mercy, No Respite” secondary that rewards up to 12 points for simply using Acts of Faith in either yours or your opponent’s turn. Seems a pretty straight foward seconday (although Acts of Faith performed due to Cherub dice do not count). Note that some Relics replace one of the model’s existing items of wargear. Where this is the case, you must, if you are using points values, still pay the cost of the wargear that is being replaced. Write down any Relics of the Ecclesiarchy your models have on your army roster.Sign up for the Warhammer Community newsletter to stay up to date with the Vigilus narrative and War Zone Nachmund. Ultimately this has been one of my favorite new codexes from a lore perspective. I think a big part of that is we have a big new model line pushing a new direction and we went so long without a new book. Whatever the reason, I’m into it and am more excited than ever to continue my Sisters project. The Abbess Sanctorum is the position at the heart of the Sisters of Battle. This esteemed commander leads the military might and spiritual faith of the entire faction. Unfortunately for the Sisters, their previous Abbess’ ship was lost in the cataclysmic explosion of warp energy that created the Great Rift. As the Adepta Sororitas is only one part of the Ecclesiarchy, it does not fall solely to the Sisters to select their new Abess.
