Ocho demonstrates that “terroir” exists in agave and pioneered the 'single estate' concept, showing how each is unique. Created by the late great Tomas Estes (cafe Pacifico) and Carlos Camarena (Tapatio tequila) – two much loved and celebrated tequila experts. The palate echoes these flavours with the addition of cinnamon, caramel, pepper, and more oak and spice.Their Tequila explores the notion of "terroir" and each release of their Anejo and Reposado Tequilas is bottled from a single plot (Rancho) in a given year. Ocho Blanco Tequila has an intense and forward Agave flavour which evolves into high level of fruity sweetness, reminiscent of an eau de vie de prune. Cedar, mint and spice all come through and there’s a satisfying earthiness to this tequila and you taste. Tequila Ocha is a joint parnership between Tomas Estes and Carlos Camarena who share a love of Mexico, its vivid culture and, of course, very fine agave based spirits. Lightly vegetal and savoury (caraway) on the nose, with lifted notes of lime flower and citrus/green apple.

Ocho Extra Anejo Tequila is aged for 3 years in oak ex-American Whiskey barrels before being bottled. This single estate blanco Tequila from Ocho uses agave that was harvested in 2023 at the San Jeronimo estate in Jalisco.Very faint liquorice, smashed Parma Violet and army and navy sweets wrapped in lavender on the finish. Cinnamon, brown sugar, apricots and toasted almonds offer a smooth taste, with coffee and cacao accents bringing a crescendo to the lasting finish.
