About this deal

Being Freddie" by Andrew Flintoff offers cricket fans a glimpse into the life of the legendary all-rounder, but falls short of reaching the heights one might expect from such an iconic figure.

Jumping on the back of a wonderful success that was the 2005 Ashes series isn't a bad thing, but when it's a quite boring recounting of a barely-lived life, it can be rather tedious to get through. Following his cricket career, he has pursued a career in television and radio, featuring in such television programmes as “A League of Their Own” and being one of the presenters of “Top Gear”.

I do love Freddie, and even now, ten years on, he's still one of England's best players and the one fans will always love, but his life and career isn't particularly a good thing to be read about. Published just months after that historic win, this book was written primarily to capitalise on the post-Ashes euphoria. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). I am glad I read this, because even though I have watched his documentary and ALOTO, I could understand more about his views and opinions on certain aspects of life. Freddie Flintoff - My World' is a lavishly illustrated and beautifully produced book which includes a stunning series of photographs.

In conclusion, "Being Freddie" is a middling memoir that offers cricket fans some insights into Andrew Flintoff's life but ultimately falls short of delivering a truly immersive and introspective narrative. I thought this book was really funny, Freddie Flintoff is such a funny character and I learnt alot about him that I didn't even know about. This book by Andrew Flintoff is not the kind of thing I’d normally read but I received it as a Christmas present I thought I might as well give it a try. Fred's approach to life draws on the sublime (his series winning performance in the 2005 Ashes) and the ridiculous (singing Elvis Presley's 'Suspicious Minds' in front of a live audience), from highs (making the transition to top TV presenter) to occasional lows (accidentally upsetting the lovely Bruce Forsyth), from the profane (discussing Shane Warne's barnet with Hollywood royalty) to the profound (why 'having a go' leads to self-respect). It was a bit contradictory, with the main theme being 'I don't think people shoud be so public with their opinions' especially when this is essentially a book of opinions. Right, said Fred is a very easy book to read, once you take out the contents and the index etc, it's only 270 pages long. The inclusion of photographs is a positive aspect, providing readers with visual glimpses of Flintoff's career and personal life. Biography: Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff (MBE) is a bestselling author, broadcaster and former England international cricketer. The storytelling lacks the depth and introspection that could have provided readers with a more profound understanding of the man behind the cricketing legend. Throughout, Fred shares his code for success, happiness and a life fully lived, gleaned from half a lifetime of hard yakka on the wicket, in the dressing room, behind the wheel, in the boxing ring, and even treading the boards of a stage musical.

He has written for newspapers, fronted his own radio show and had a hugely successful podcast, Flintoff, Savage and the Ping Pong Guy.

A security bespoke A1 Sporting Memorabilia hologram seal that shimmers and animates when tilted is included on every Certificate of Authenticity. Then, explosively, he lit up the second half of the summer in 2004, lifting spirits at Lord’s with a bat-smashing 142.
