Description

The RoboVac G30 (left), one of the smallest robot vacuums we've tested, next to the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo T8 AIVI (right), one of the largest The other problem is that the spot cleaning mode isn’t quite as logical as it ought to be. The icon on the button that controls the process looks like it should start in the middle and work its way out, cleaning in an increasing spiral shape. However, in my experience, the centre of the cleaning area appeared to move as the RoboVac’s arcs got wider, sometimes moving away from the area I wanted cleaned.

The G30 can cope with pet hair, however, you will need to regularly untangle the bristles. Those with pets might want to take a look at a Roomba which has their dual rubber roller brushes that handle hair very well. The Roomba 600-series is a good place to start and isn’t too dissimilar from Eufy on price. Eufy recommends cleaning the dustbin after every use, and the filter and main rolling brush once a week. Every month, you should clean the side brush, drop sensors, and wheels. You’ll need to replace the filter every two months, the side brush every three to six months, and the main rolling brush every six to 12 months. Instructions for cleaning and replacing these parts are in the owner’s manual. In the box, you get a cleaning tool plus an extra filter and side brush. EufyHome App This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy.Under the hood are 31 sensors, including infrared and a hall effect sensor, which enable the robot vacuum to move around your home avoiding any large furniture. The latter uses magnetic fields to identify position and distance. Unlike some robot vacuums on the market, such as the Ecovacs T8 Aivi, the Eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid doesn’t have a built-in camera to help it see obstacles. This is worth doing if you can’t tidy a particular knot of cables out of the way, as I did experience some problems with it getting tangled with cables lying on the floor. However, it did a good job of climbing from hard floor onto rugs and even doormats without getting beached. The Eufy Home app is simple to use, making this robot vacuum cleaner extremely easy to control. Once you’ve launched the app and connected the robot vacuum to your home Wi-Fi network, you can set it cleaning and away it will go. Eufy has added some significant navigation skills to the G30 Edge and they’re worth having. The G30 Edge isn’t as sophisticated at map building and learning about its environment as rival models like the Neato Botvac D7 Connected but the basic mapmaking displayed here is better than the trundle and bump navigation we’ve seen on Eufy’s cheaper models, such as the 15C.

If you need boundary strips more than mapping so the C30 Max is a great buy. Especially when it's as cheap as now. Run it every other day so it will go across those areas it missed last time. If you are going to use it once a week, I would suggest getting something with mapping. As you might expect from a parent company like Anker, this vacuum boasts an impressive battery life. It has a runtime of up to 110 minutes (or 1 hour and 50 minutes) on a single charge, which is pretty impressive! I have some cluttered areas. Do I have to buy a eufy with boundary strips or the other models have no-go zones too? While more expensive robot vacuums use lasers and other technologies to map out the area to clean, the RoboVac G30 Edge is less precise. It still builds up a map but does it on the fly, every time it cleans. It does this by sensing its immediate surroundings using infrared and gently bumping into obstacles as it cleans. This vacuum cleaner offers convenience and ease of use with its remote operation capabilities and compatibility with popular voice assistants. Its large dust capacity allows for efficient cleaning without frequent emptying. With a long runtime and automatic base station return, users can enjoy uninterrupted cleaning sessions.

Customer reviews

The eufy G10 and G30 Hybrid come with a separate dustbin and water tank. When you remove the water tank, the robot would only do vacuuming. As with all of Eufy’s best robot vacuums, it is suited to both low and medium-pile carpet. Whilst it’s able to handle rugs fairly well, it’s not recommended if you have high-pile carpet throughout your home. RoboVac 30C MAX has all the same options the 15C MAX does only also supports a magnetic tape while the two others do not. It is an ideal option for those who need their carpets to be clean and also have some places to keep the robot off them, get the eufy RoboVac 30C MAX. The cliff sensors most likely will think it's a drop-off and do not let the robot go on one. This issue relates to almost all robot vacuums.

After those 88 minutes, the dustbin was completely filled with dust, dog hair, crumbs, and feathers that must have escaped my pillows. My floors looked much cleaner, and my carpets had perfect vacuum lines on them. Our Smart Dynamic Navigation series of robotic vacuum cleaners takes intelligent cleaning to the next level. Featuring Smart Dynamic Navigation 2.0, these robot vacuum cleaners can learn the layout of your space, ensuring a thorough clean every time. Plus, with App Control, you can monitor the cleaning history of your smart robotic vacuum cleaner right from your smartphone. The C model line includes the robot vacuums with random navigation. Those models look alike underneath and have about the same specifications. The difference between those eufy robots is WiFi connectivity which also makes a robot able to integrate with Alexa/Google Home. If you don’t care about the magnetic tape and don’t have carpets or already have a traditional vacuum that would be the main cleaner get the eufy RoboVac 15C.

How does this robot vacuum that can mop as well as vacuum compare to rivals from Ecovacs and Roborock?

In case of a full house schedule, does it go around cleaning the whole house first, and then start the mopping function ? Or does it clean and then mop one room simultaneously first, then move to clean and mop the next room? (similar to the MI robovac) The eufy G30 takes 1 hour and 10 minutes to clean my apartment. That’s a little longer than your standard robot vacuum; most models I’ve tested take about 50 minutes to clean the same space. However, I noticed two odd things when monitoring the G30 vacuum and EufyHome app closely. This robot vacuum also uses a brushless motor. That isn’t to say that there are no brushes on it; it still uses side brushes and a brush roll to collect dirt and debris. The motor, however, is brushless, so the G30 is much quieter than most vacuums or robot vacuums during operation despite its maximum of 2000Pa suction power. It’s so quiet, in fact, that the noise level of the RoboVac G30’s wheels on the floor is comparable to the sound of its motor. Eufy promises that, at 55-68dB, it’s about as loud as a microwave oven, and I have to agree. If you like to turn your robot vacuum before quiet times, you’ll really appreciate its super-low operating volume—and if, like me, you have a pet that’s a little anxious, they’ll love it, too. The EufyHome app is great. It offers an impressive amount of control for a vacuum that doesn’t have room-by-room app support, including speaker volume control, suction level customization, and scheduled cleaning options. However, the physical body of the Verge feels too fragile for my personal preferences. Ultra-strong suction, Smart Dynamic Navigation 2.0, Helpful voice prompts regarding RoboVac's status, Slim 2.85" body, Advanced brushless motor significantly reduces vacuuming noise, BoostIQ technology, Controllable via the EufyHome app
