I have considered going cheap with the DM41 v spending more on small 2/3 box units but the N11 appears to be middle ground which would suit. WPS (WiFi Protected Setup), WiFi Sharing, WMM (WiFi Multimedia), WAC (Wireless Accessory Configuration), WiFi 802.11b/g/n Enjoy exceptional sound in a minimalist style. The Denon CEOL N11DAB Hi-Fi-Network CD Receiver with HEOS Built-in music streaming, Bluetooth® and voice control is the perfect compact stereo for all your musical desires. THE ONE. FOR ALL. The latest AirPlay 2 feature is available for wireless audio streaming from iOS devices and multi-room set-up. The built-in Bluetooth module features NFC (Near Field Communication) for fast communication with Bluetooth devices.

The CEOL-N10 is incredibly easy to control. You can use the system itself, thanks to a series of easy-to-use buttons, or the included remote control. The CEOL is a mini HiFi system, designed to fit in any room, with removable speakers and a compact footprint. You can buy the system without the speakers and add your own. Let’s just admit it: even for an (experienced) old stereo fan, there is not always time and desire to make a ritual out of listening to music. Sometimes you just want to press a button and move on with what you are doing. The high quality CD mechanism plays all your compact disc in high quality as it is especially designed to minise vibration which could influence the audio quality. It plays MP3 and WMA files too. The Denon CEOL-N10 is the focus of our review today, and the fourth-generation entry in the CEOL range. This incredible system includes support for multi-room playing. Plus, you also get state-of-the-art Wi-Fi technology, Alexa support, and AirPlay too. The USB port on the front of the machine is compatible with virtually any USB drive, so you can play all of your own content that way too. Denon CEOL-N10 review: Features Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 28th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) Current formats such as FLAC (24 bit / 192 kHz), WAV (24 bit / 192 kHz), AIFF (24 bit / 192 kHz) and ALAC (24 bit / 96 kHz) can be played. Support for the WMM protocol guarantees high-quality wireless audio transmission over the network. The built-in digital amplifier is 65 watts per channel (4 ohms).

As for more traditional sources there are screw-in antennas for the twin radio tuners onboard the Denon, delivering FM and digital DAB+ radio in addition to the internet radio delivered by HEOS. There’s no AM here, but all AM stations are almost certainly available at better quality via internet or DAB+ radio.HEOS also delivers multiroom operation. Put another HEOS-compatible player elsewhere in your home and the ‘Rooms’ section of the HEOS app makes it ever so simple to have the same music playing to several or to all HEOS devices at once, whether they be HEOS-equipped soundbars, wireless speakers, even monumental AV receivers. You can also play the inputs of one device over the network to other HEOS devices, but – importantly – only the analogue inputs, not digital ones. Founded in 1910, Denon has a deep heritage of “firsts” in audio technology — from Japan’s first audio electronics manufacturer, to producing the world’s first commercial CDs. This focused investment in audio R&D ensures you get the latest technology and highest quality with every listening experience. You can even access more of your music through the built-in CD player and AM/FM tuner. Denon CEOL-N10 review: Performance With something to suit virtually every taste, this company has tried its hand at headphones, Hi-Fi systems, home theatres and more. In other words, if you’re looking for high-quality audio, then Denon gives you a good place to start. Play your personal music collection – even in high-resolution. The CEOL N11DAB Network-Receiver supports all major streaming formats. All the great music services are fully integrated. Or listen to high-quality DAB+ radio stations. Set the mood that's just right for the moment.

We began our listening with internet radio, which uses the excellent TuneIn platform, which in the UK has been hobbled by record company legal action so that it can’t play anything other than UK stations, but which is, as yet, free of such interference here in Australia. Indeed it is our favourite radio platform, the only one to offer our local community radio station along with quite a few others – 100,000 stations, says TuneIn, along with 5.7 million podcasts, so if it’s your first time playing with internet radio, this should keep you busy for a while. They also have built-in phono stages so they can be hooked straight up to a system, and both feature unique dust covers that can be removed and used to rest a vinyl album sleeve against. The HEOS app will also allow you to connect various music systems using wi-fi. This means that you can link up to 32 HEOS enabled units at a single time. Once you’ve set up your system, you can stream your music effortlessly and control everything with the HEOS app. We continued to some Tidal streaming; there’s no unfolding of MQA Masters here for high-res streaming (as rival streaming system BluOS offers), but it’s arguable whether high-res is going to improve the excellent sound we enjoyed, whether punching up some bouncy REM or delivering the drifting flow of Philip Glass’s Closing. There was a limit to the size of bass the speakers could deliver, but the deep underlying organ note under Closing was certainly present, if not fully resonant. The heart of your wireless network. With Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and wireless streaming connectivity, the Denon CEOL is equipped with an advanced hidden dual antenna transceiver system for robust streaming even in congested urban environments. Enjoy listening to your favourite audio content wirelessly from your smart devices or network

We very much appreciate that HEOS is properly localised and doesn’t show services which aren’t available to Australia (as do most rivals, to the ongoing irritation of users). Denon first introduced its CEOL (N-7) network music system in 2010, and, eight years on, we have the latest (fourth) generation model, the N10. One of the biggest benefits of the RCD-N10 is its user-friendliness. The OLED screen keeps you informed with useful details about what you’re listening too. Plus, the large remote control makes it easier to manage your music. Like the DNP-800NE, the N10 also built on the HEOS streaming platform. But not content with offering a vast assortment of hi-res network streaming options, it also offers Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, Internet radio, optical inputs, FM/AM radio and a built-in CD player. It will also get the AirPlay 2 update in August. All of your music at your fingertips. Connect to your favourite music sources via Wi-Fi with HEOS Built-in, AirPlay2 or via Bluetooth®. With a 110-year legacy of audio mastery, the Denon CEOL N11DAB delivers high quality sound, no matter how you listen. IMPROVE YOUR TV-SOUND.

FLAC up to 192kHz/24-bit, WAV up to 192kHz/24-bit, AIFF up to 192kHz/24-bit, ALAC up to 96kHz/24-bit Not only can you select an input from the HEOS app’s ‘Denon CEOL’ pane, there’s a separate ‘inputs’ option. This duplicates the CEOL’s inputs, but if you have other HEOS products around the house, you will also see their inputs here, as additional functionality to the platform’s multiroom operation. First of all, you get a CD-player built-in, so you can play your music collection as much as you like. You can also stream through your home network with Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. The Denon also connects to a whole-house wireless audio system, so you can turn up the volume around your house. We couldn’t, among the various HEOS menus, find any way to change what the display shows when the unit is playing, though you can choose whether and how it shows the time when it’s off. You can set a time for it to turn on automatically, and the source it should play.

Once you've set up your HEOS speaker system, you can stream music effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS and Android, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Napster and Deezer. With both AirPlay and Bluetooth built-in, connecting your devices couldn’t be easier. The Denon CEOL-N10 also features Wi-Fi and internet radio, so there’s no limit to what you can listen to.
