A bit unnecessary appereance and just ignore her aince she just there. God I really love Lukas. He is exactly what the Astartes should be. He sees regular people as people to defend, not people to look down on. And I also love how this attitude makes him unique among the Wolves. I often see people complain that they are always right in the context of their stories, but this novel is an entire novel about a Space Wolf who calls the rest of them out.

You could say the battle has alot of though into it. Born out of the most insane elements of the Fifth Edition (non-Ward related ones anyway), Lukas is very much a love-him-or-hate-him character. Either he reflects a type of exaggerated humour that was all too rare in Warhammer at the time, or he passed Adam West right into George Clooney territory. The point is that between his humour and standing as the antithesis of typical Adeptus Astartes, the character stood on a knife-edge of becoming obnoxious. Overall, it's a great book to read if you're bored with BL novel that involving huge fights. In fact, the book is entertaining as Ciaphas Cain novel in its different way.
